Privacy Policy

This explains what data scrapexa collects, why, how long we keep it, and what you can ask us to do with it. Plain English. No filler.

1. What we collect

We collect three kinds of data, and nothing we do not need to run the service.

  • Account info — your name, email address, and a password hash. We never store your password in plain text.
  • Usage and billing data — plan, extraction counts, timestamps, and the records needed to bill you and enforce limits.
  • Extracted lead data — the leads you generate from public sources using scrapexa. This is data you create; see section 3.

2. How we use it

We use your data to:

  • run extractions and return your results;
  • authenticate you and keep your account secure;
  • meter usage, apply plan limits, and process billing;
  • send service messages such as verification, receipts, and account notices;
  • investigate abuse and keep the platform reliable.

We do not sell your data or your extracted leads to anyone.

3. Your extracted data belongs to you

The lead data you extract is yours. We store it so you can access and export it, and we process it only to provide the service to you.

When you close your account, the lead data you generated is deleted. This is a compliance requirement, not an optional setting — we do not retain your extracted leads after closure.

4. Cookies and sessions

We use a session cookie to keep you logged in and a CSRF cookie to protect form submissions. These are required for the app to work. We do not run third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

5. Payments

Payments are handled by Razorpay. Card and payment details are entered with Razorpay and processed by them — scrapexa does not see or store your card number. We keep the billing records Razorpay returns to us, such as plan, amount, and transaction status.

6. Data retention

How long we keep things depends on what it is and your plan.

  • Free leads are pruned after 30 days.
  • Paid leads are retained until you close your account.
  • Webhook events are retained for audit and reconciliation of billing.

Account and billing records are kept while your account is open and for as long as the law requires after closure.

7. Your rights

You can:

  • access the data we hold about you, including your extracted leads, by exporting from your dashboard;
  • delete your data by closing your account, which removes your extracted leads as described in section 3.
