Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated July 2026
Scrapexa extracts publicly available business contact data from websites you explicitly supply. To keep the Service legitimate and privacy-respecting, you agree to the following.
Permitted use
- Legitimate business-to-business outreach and prospecting.
- Crawling public pages of websites you are lawfully permitted to access.
- Using extracted data in compliance with applicable laws in your jurisdiction (including GDPR and India's data-protection rules where relevant).
Prohibited use
- Harassment, spam, or bulk unsolicited messaging that violates anti-spam laws.
- Scraping login-gated, private, or personal (non-business) data.
- Attempting to extract data from platforms whose terms forbid it (e.g. scraping LinkedIn or other social networks directly — we only capture profile URLs that appear on the site you supply).
- Circumventing a website's access controls, or targeting sites you have no right to crawl.
- Reselling third-party API data (e.g. Google Places) in violation of that provider's terms — our enrichment layer respects per-source storage and export restrictions.
- Any unlawful, deceptive, or abusive activity.
Crawling conduct
By default we respect robots.txt and crawl politely with per-host rate limits. We only crawl public http(s) targets and block private, internal and cloud-metadata addresses.
Suppression & opt-out
We maintain a suppression list. Any email address or domain added to it — including at the request of a data subject — is permanently excluded from future extractions and exports. Contact us to add an entry.
Enforcement
Violations may result in suspension or termination of your account. You are responsible for the lawful use of all data you extract.
